After the collapse of the Global IT industry in 2000 we have found many twists and tales of the industry and today we are standing at the door of a new decade of exploration. The Global IT industry is going and adopting new revolution in the corporate world where after the recession of 2008 the performance and sustainability of the every economy and industry is depending. In my last couple of articles I have depicted the stupendous growth of the industry being awaited to witness. Many entrepreneurs has entered into the segment and another dozens would be multiplying every year in this segment. Some of the prime revolution of the Network speeds which is nonetheless considerably faster, storage capacity substantially greater cost efficiency and data analytics. Data analytics is the biggest revolution after the recession of 2008 which plays a significant role in restructuring the global corporate platform. The data analytics segment requires extensive employment all segments of a company so that the development of the company as well as of the industry takes a new shape. Supply chain management has already taken a revolution with deployment of extensive IT related systems. But now the IT system is extending beyond a particular division of the company.
With the ever increasing Political and economic uncertainty after 2008 like the US and European economy followed with Chinese economy, looming talent shortages and changes in demand are all factors that will influence business strategies in the coming years. In my research I find that cash flow and earning projection are going to take a new shape with the inclusion of IT related strategies in business growth. Develop community to grow business through IT. One of the biggest revolutions of the Indian IT industry has been the increase in speed and extensive data sharing and data accessing. Well this is proved from crime and other matters get protested online manner in huge quantum and voting projections of political system in every upcoming election.
Online Collaboration Platforms:
We all know that client is God hence servicing the God is a prime part of the companies. But with the recession of 2008 the landscape of servicing clients has taken a major toll which has spooked the demand of online segment across the globe, across the industry and across the culture. In my recent case study I came across few companies who have made online platforms for their business development and have made a substantial contribution towards product development and services. Proctor & Gamble, a US household goods firm, is one of today’s pioneers in using online communities, having flung open the doors via its Connect+ DevelopTM website to source ideas from the public at large, which may include individuals with an idea or organizations. Getting more ideas is the key to develop strategy for the organization to survive and develop growth for long term.
Case Study:
Dell, a US-based PC-maker one of his first steps was to establish a website, called IdeaStorm, to solicit suggestions from consumers and business customers worldwide. Moreover dell employees monitor the system extensively to gauge which ideas are most relevant, and the site shows contributors how the ideas are being put into action. This is the key aspect that taking ideas and deploying the same into system and using it judiciously so that the organization can fetch the maximum benefit from such things.
Starbucks, a US firm that operates a global chain of coffee shops, is a recent recruit to the online community movement with its MyStarbucksIdea. com website, launched in March 2008. The site urges
Customers to post ideas on ways the firm can improve its products and service, and also to vote on other people’s ideas. All these examples reveal that the global IT platform is entering into another revolution of the market and industry. All these systems create a stupendous growth into the Brand valuation process for the companies. The global banking and financial industry is also taking immense utilization of the IT revolution. In my recent case study I find that China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange has created a new model of collaboration with customers in the financial services industry, at least in China, through the creation of an “IT laboratory”. This helps them to create to interact more closely with the clients and develop quality products. An example is the launch of our new trading system—customers were required to make adjustments to front-end systems, and they did it on site.
Grouping of Ideas:
Cultural differences have also being reduced through this online collaboration system. The one which is being designed in India may not be implemented in African economy. Hence global collaboration system has helped to reduce the time gap of development of product and also studying the different markets within short span of time. It’s all about customer satisfaction which is being developed through the efficient use of IT. More importantly I find that democracy of online collaboration of ideas should be included into the open space management of the organization culture. A natural byproduct of online communities, particularly those oriented towards consumers and the broader public, will be a mass of information that will need careful channeling to be useful. I find many entrepreneurs would come up with system through which they will develop the online collaboration facility and develop strategies for companies. Since this online collaboration and biased approach for an organization cannot be avoided. Hence third party firms would come up to bridge the gap and crystallize the process of the organsaition to develop new products and services.
