Is there any jealousy index available to measure country-specific jealousy? Since the need and demand of the hour is to have an index, given the way the global economy is approaching India, the risk of being an Indian overseas has increased. Well, this is not an insight on the capital market or economy, hence it may not interest you either it's political but above all of them and beyond.
The AI boom has replaced many old jobs and desk jobs, which has
led to significant unemployment growth across the globe. Well, everything is
not capital market-oriented, nor can it be measured through Dowjones or Nifty 50.
The risk for India both at home and overseas has grown significantly.
Immigrant Indians are now a massive headache post-transformation
of the job market. Indian labour is
cheap, and Indians are taking away jobs. Thanks to social media and all those overseas
influencers who have raised this matter to an astronomical level, creating
outrage and racist behaviour for Indians.
Every country has raised its voice and protested against India.
In fact, the real reason might be that India has become the 4th
largest economy, which a 2 decades earlier, was not even in the top 10 countries
list. Cheap labour of India, followed
with now AI making the work obsolete, has now created a problem for humans. Are
people jealous of India? Yes. They are jealous, and it is bound to be for a
country that once begged in front World Bank has now become a point of attraction
for the whole world. Even Mr. Donald Trump is also jealous of India, and his jealousy
is reflected in every word he speaks about India diplomatically and non
diplomatically.
"March for Australia, Germany, London, various cities of
the U.S, Poland, etc. The story does not end with a protest. There are a number of
cases of bullying, breaking down shops, fights with Indians and even loud protests
by people for recruiting most of the Indians in Walmart stores. Families are
coming back to India, and those youngsters who went to do a job are now also
looking back towards India.
Back home, we have had Pakistan issues for a long time, and we
even fought a war this time on May 2025. Our neighbouring countries are more of
a pain rather than being friends. Bangladesh, Nepal, srilanka and topping above
all, China. We don’t have strong neighbours and hence having
a friend or foe is all same. The risk for the Indian geopolitical segment is
high, and the pressure within the country is another story. We are not in good shape, and the stock market,
consumption boom, and festive season do not reflect these things, but under the
bed of all these, India is having a tough time.
We internally are busy fighting for the language being spoken
in different states. This has created another storm of events for people within
the country. Now the biggest question comes, what are we trying to do at home
to protect India and Indians to be protected?
Today, we have a constitution, but what we don’t have is the
legacy of leaders who will lead India over the next decade. The leadership
crisis is a massive issue since tomorrow we might end up like Nepal and Bangladesh,
and don’t forget their population, even combined, is not 140cr people.
De-globalisation will shape up more in the coming days once the
immigrant issue becomes more vocal and more fearful. We need to think about two things we are at
home within India is also getting into an immigration issue with migrant labour
travelling across India, and 2ndly, how we are prepared to absorb the migrants
flowing back from other countries. India
is not at all in good shape. We have an ageing Prime Minister, and we are still
not clear who and how India will get its next leader. As of this date, we don’t
have friends surrounding India. We only have a few countries to extend any help to us,
but that is also subject to time.
Among all these things, India has an opportunity to grab immigrants coming back to India and use them and deploy them in government projects to reshape and redesign the Indian ecosystem and protect it from its neighbours. We need to strengthen and protect the ecosystem, and the government ecosystem is the 1st one where the advancement of immigrants' technical know-how will play a huge role. India needs the best talent, and this standard should be adopted in government projects to prevent them from being overshadowed by private sector influence. At the same time, entrepreneurship should be made easier and friendlier by reducing the number of steps to start a business. India needs to think like China, where one becomes so independent that even the jealousy gets jealous to think about India.
